connect
More than a social club. Deeper than a night out. FellowShip creates intentional spaces for genuine connection, lasting friendship, and a richer social life.
FellowShip is where we forge platonic intimacy.
who we are
FellowShip exists to help people build the friendships that are harder to find in a digital world. We create intentional spaces for queer people and their allies to slow down, show up, and connect in real life. At FellowShip, we embrace the ritual of relationship and practice the tools necessary to grow a circle of community. Through thoughtfully designed experiences, play, mindfulness, and ceremony, FellowShip is building a new kind of third space—one rooted in friendship, belonging, and platonic intimacy.

Jacob Hoffman — Founder
Jacob Hoffman is a writer, director, educator, wellness practitioner, and community builder. For more than two decades, his work across the arts, education, wellness, and queer communities has centered on bringing people together and creating spaces where they can connect, express themselves, and feel at home.
FellowShip is a natural extension of that work, rooted in a simple belief: queer people deserve spaces not just to meet, but to become friends. Through intentional gatherings and shared experiences, FellowShip makes room for people to put down their phones, show up as themselves, and build real, lasting connections.
what we do
Through thoughtfully designed, one-of-a-kind experiences, shared adventures, and intentional gatherings, we create opportunities to meet new people, deepen existing connections, and build the kind of friendships that can make a city feel like home.

FAQs
Is FellowShip a dating platform? No. While it’s certainly possible to find a romantic connection at a FellowShip event, our mission is to build platonic intimacy. At FellowShip, we go deep, but we’re here for friends!
I’m not a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, but I love this idea! Can I join a FellowShip event?Yes! While most FellowShip events are geared toward folks who claim the rainbow flag, allies are welcome to select satellite events. And it doesn’t stop there! You can work with FellowShip to curate specialty private events for your friend group, workplace, or family.
Can I bring a friend?Yes (and no). While you are welcome to arrive with a buddy, you may be invited to enjoy your FellowShip experience solo - we have found this is the best way to forge new connections. But don’t fret - any groups of friends will have a chance to reconvene at many break points in their event.
Is this at all affiliated with Fellowship Connection? No, FellowShip has no affiliation with AA. That said, FellowShip events can be enjoyed sober! FellowShip is all about creating meaningful connection, apart from the mainstream go-to hubs we’ve become used to - at FellowShip, you can come as you are and expect to find something real.
Where are FellowShip events held? All over! While the majority of our events are hosted in Manhattan and Brooklyn, part of FellowShip’s mission is to expand our community’s reach, and that includes where we gather. Event location details are provided upon booking, or, in some rare cases, the day of the event (to keep things exciting).
